Occupying a site within a bustling café precinct, the sophistication of
this gourmet sandwich bar presents a much needed haven for shoppers. A
minimalist palette of subtle pale pink walls next to dark timber relate
to the Manuka plant itself.

Pushed hard to the boundary, the design maximizes the space,
integrating a highly efficient sandwich kitchen with a service bar. A
pass links the two, sightlines from the service area allow customers
glimpses through to the kitchen activities. Mirrors are cleverly
positioned to reflect and give depth to the small site. Long communal
tables extend out from the main bar area, acting as a place for social
interaction, a gathering point.
