Venue - 171 Cuba St, Wellington
Like an aging rocker, this site embraces its sordid past. The venue’s
seedy interior is infamous for the smoky haze obscuring performers and
fans alike. The scope of work encompasses a new kitchen, bar and raised
seating booths. Between 80’s glam and 60’s vogue the materials used
conjure up James Bond film sets and a culture of indulgence. A black
glass bar front with stainless steel nosing stretches itself out along
the wall. One of the only venues in Wellington of its kind, this site
has a contagious sense of rebellion, tapping into the world of
underground rock and roll.
